The sky is gloriously blue and perfectly clear. Patios with a lot of natural light have food and beverage options that are out of this world. It should come as no surprise that Scottsdale residents like weekend brunches! Here are a few suggestions for amazing brunch venues where you can spend a couple of hours catching up with your favourite friends over a leisurely breakfast.

The Vig

The Vig’s cuisine boasts refined American gastronomy that is likely to suit any pallet, with chef Jeremy Pacheco in charge (he formerly worked at LON’s at The Hermosa Inn). Brunch options at this Mexican-inspired restaurant in Los Angeles include Egg Benedict Rancheros, Ladera French Toast, and Pancakes with Blueberry Compote. Build-Your-Own Mimosas and exotic Beachcomber drinks are available to complement any entrée. At one of The Vig’s two Scottsdale locations, you may relax with friends and family over a leisurely weekend brunch.

Hash Kitchen

It’s a good thing Hash Kitchen serves its delectable breakfast seven days a week because once you’ve had it, you won’t want to wait another week to return. To make the most of the over 50 innovative toppings offered at the Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar, you’ll need to use your imagination and construction abilities as you decide if one more slice of bacon will fit on top of your glass. You won’t go hungry with a menu that includes Lucky Charms French Toast, Blue Corn Banana Foster Pancakes, and the Effin’ Big English Muffin (a sandwich of brown sugar ham and hash browns on an effin’ huge English muffin).

The Herb Box

The Herb Box’s brunch menu is no exception, with an emphasis on fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced foods at its core. You may fill up on the Baja Bowl, a tasty and filling combination of roasted sweet potatoes, rainbow quinoa, black beans, and spicy avocado sauce that is ideal for a busy day. Is it time to splurge on yourself? Try Cinnamon Buckwheat Pancakes with honey butter, maple syrup, and wild berries for a unique breakfast option. The Herb Box, situated on Old Town’s historic Fifth Avenue and featuring both indoor and outdoor dining, is an excellent brunch option.

Blue Clover Distillery

Aside from the limitless mimosas, Blue Clover’s brunch is one of Old Town Scottsdale’s best-kept secrets due to its $10 menu and the micro-handmade distillery’s chilli pepper vodka, both of which are made in-house. The Basic’s house specialties include toasted tater tots, two eggs (any style), and bacon or sausage. Breakfast items such as the Farm Egg & Bacon Grilled Cheese and the Green Chili Breakfast Burrito are also available. Bring a large appetite since the quantities are substantial.

The Mission

The Mission, which has two locations in the city, is a popular restaurant in Scottsdale (Old Town and Kierland Commons). Some of the foods on the menu are Cinnamon Pecan Waffles, Chicken and Pork Chilaquiles (the chicken is my particular favourite! ), and Pancakes with Corn, Shrimp, and Crab. If you’re searching for a cocktail, the Missionary margarita is the one to get. My dessert of preference is espresso churros with cinnamon and brown sugar dusting, which I pair with an Ibarra chocolate milkshake.

RnR Gastropub

The RnR Gastropub in Old Town serves brunch every day of the week, so you don’t have to wait until the weekend to get your fill. Avocado Toast, Green Chile Pulled Pork Tacos, and Chambord French Toast go nicely with a crisp Mimosa Flight or a refreshing Rosé Sangria on the newly extended and remodelled patio. On Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the RnR’s legendary Keep ‘Em Coming Mimosas and Bloody Marys are available for $25 with the purchase of any entrée.

T. Cook’s at The Royal Palms Resort & Spa

With its cobblestone driveway, Spanish Mediterranean architecture, and lush flora, the Royal Palms Resort & Spa is the ideal place to unwind after a long week. You’ll need to take a short stroll through the resort’s green pathways to arrive to T. Cook’s for breakfast. There are other brunch favourites to pick from, in addition to the Mimosa Flight and Bloody Mary Flight. These include the Two Eggs and Grilled Flatiron Steak combination, fiery Huevos Rancheros, and fluffy Brioche French Toast – all made with the freshest seasonal ingredients and delivered with T. Cook’s timeless and unpretentious elegance.
